TCA and Microdermabrasion

This shot is a before and after of a beautiful woman who just happens to be my grandmother. The pics are backwards as the first picture shows her after and the second picture shows her before. Notice the change in the fine lines around her face, the lightening of some of her discolorations and the improvement of texture and pore size, particularly around the nose and chin. We began with three layers of TCA. She had some heavy peeling for about ten days. After she was fully healed (two weeks) we started a series of  six microdermabrasion treatments spaced 7-10 days apart. Dramatic results!

Extensions Just For Fun

When most people think of getting extensions they think of a dramatic change of short to long. But extensions can be fun and affordable for everyone. By just adding a few extensions you can change the look of an entire cut. We took Deb's symmetrical cut and added a few extensions in two different colors for a look that gave her an asymmetrical shape with highlights. This was much quicker and just as affordable as coloring her hair. So the next time you're bored with your look and aren't ready to make a permanent change, give it a try.

My Friend Laura

Laura came to me with level 6 ashy brown hair and a haircut that she received at dollar cuts about three months ago (picture what you will). We lightened her a bit throughout the top and sides and reshaped her hair into a sassy, sexy layered bob.

Liz and Andrea

Today I decided to invite my sister and her best friend over to my house for a makeover and photoshoot. My sister Liz had dark hair to begin with.  We retouched her color, shaped her hair, and did egyptian inspired eye makeup. You could never tell from these pictures but she is 7 months pregnant. My soon-to-be niece can be proud of how beautiful her mother is. This morning Andrea had blondish/brown hair. She is now a gorgeous red head. I told her I thought she was probably a 40's pinup model in her previous life. Thanks girls for all the fun.

new blogger

I have decide to start a blog primarily to showcase my work as a Cosmetologist and Esthetician. I spend most of my days tracking hours and grades, solving the major and minor dilemmas of my students and showing how to hold a razor or palm shears. Although I love my job and students immensely, sometimes it feels good to just get my hands in hair again. I am hoping this blog will provide a creative outlet for me. :)
